Full name, Richard Noah Gatsby, or, to anyone who speaks to him who isn't his mother, simply Gatsby, was born on a hot summer afternoon, on the 19th of August, 1994. Older brother to one Asha Grace Gatsby, their parents being Emilia Grace Wellington-Gatsby and Coen Smith Gatsby. They lived a relatively peaceful life.

A child prodigy in technological advancements, at a young age, the Gatsby son began to show interest in all things automation. From T.V. remotes, to alarm clocks. He was taking them apart, and piecing them back together before he'd even reached the first grade. His mother, taking note of this gifted behavior, didn't hesitate to bring it to the attention of his father, whom was praying his child would join the military, much like himself. And his father before him. However, young Richard's unwillingness to follow in the footfalls of his guardian became apparent upon his eighth birthday.

Having managed to invent an analog clock, that ran on solar power, of his own design, it was at this point both Emilia and Coen came to the conclusion that, whether Coen liked it or not, their son would be taking a much different route in life.

From then on, the Gatsby parents made it a point to seek higher education for their son. Wanting him to graduate as soon as possible, so that the building blocks of his future may be set early. This being said, he wasn't able to have much of a childhood. The few, honestly enjoyable memories of his younger years, included his sister, the back of their family SUV, driving from point A to point B, playing games like Old Maid, or Go Fish.

Due to his immediate debut as a childhood intellectual, things like interviews about his designs, and inventions were often things to look forward to. Moreso than pizza parties at school, or get togethers with friends. Quite frankly, thanks to the unwelcome fame that his genius wrought, Gatsby didn't have too much of a childhood. Once again, his sister being his only solace, and one of the main reasons he never gave up on his path of being the innovator he was today.

No matter how bleak things got, or how lonely, and left out he felt, Asha was always there to tell him that she and his mother, and contrary to perhaps even Richard's belief, but his father as well, only wanted what was best for him, and his future. Each meeting, interview, debut, and college campus tour, was planned and made with nothing but love. It was these words that had helped Gatsby through so much.

His father, being a high ranking military officer, was rarely home. There were month long periods or so in the summer, where he would appear home on leave, help around with some of the appointments, only to go again not too long after. It left the young genius feeling empty at times, however, he knew that his father was working for the family's betterment.

Or so is what he had lead himself to believe until that fateful evening.

Due to Coen's position of power, there were lots of enemies made. In turn, this made his family the possible target of any ill-will that may be directed towards him.

Unfortunately, that moment finally came. Roughly a month and a half after Gatsby's 16th birthday, he had just celebrated getting his college degree, a celebratory dinner was to take place.

How the man had gotten past the actual home security was a mystery still to be solved. His presence wasn't known until he'd made his way into the young man's bedroom at gunpoint, pulling him away from the blueprints he'd been so studiously working on. It was a struggle, and a tussle, but eventually, the man took what he wanted, in the worst way possible.

In the end, one now beaten and bruised Richard, was lead downstairs, with the barrel of a pistol, at the back of his head, into the dining room, where his mother and sister had been readying for dinner. To their dismay, they hadn't heard the man come in, nor make his way upstairs towards the boy.

The mad man demanded Emilia call her husband, and tell him the conditions that would grant his family's release. One could only imagine the utter disgust churning in the youngest Gatsby's stomach, when he heard that his father refused to talk to the man because he "didn't negotiate with terrorists".

Unwilling to take any steps too far, in his own ideas of 'too far', that is, the psychopath set his sights on Asha. After two more warnings, via Emilia being the middle man, he placed the gun to Richard's sister.

He pulled the trigger, leaving her lifeless body to topple out of the dining room chair, onto the floor below.

Richard, who was watching with both exhaustion, and absolute fear, cried out for his sibling, but it was far, far too late.

Sadly, this still wasn't enough to draw an affect from Coen. Willing to scar everyone there, the man proceeded to take Asha's body, plop it on the table, and pull out a knife. He then proceeded to mutilate her body, taking off flesh, skin and muscle, forcing first, the mother to eat it. Of whom was sobbing, and crying, refusing to do anything he wanted. It wasn't until he'd turned the barrel of that gun on Richard, that Emilia dropped the phone, and obediently began to eat... In time, Richard soon followed, but only because he didn't want his mother to befall the same fate. Upon the completion of their ... last minute meal, that left Emilia looking sick, and her son to vomit onto the floor, through thin, barely parted fingers.

Forcing the woman onto the phone once more, she was told to convey just what had happened, what they were forced to do. Coen agreed to attempt to negotiate, but said that the terrorists demands were far too outrageous, and that if he wanted to talk business, he should lower his expectations.

It wasn't until after the psychopath had put a bullet through the mother's head as well, that it was abundantly clear he was done talking. Most of all, to Coen. The radio silence was enough of a giveaway that his own wife had finally been killed. It was now that he sent in a team, in a last ditch effort to retrieve, at the very least, his son, and last remaining relative.

However, help took roughly an 45 minutes to an hour to arrive. At that point, the timing was relative. Each moment that passed, the psychopath did whatever he wanted with the young Gatsby, for however long he wanted to as well...

It wasn't until the rescue squad came tumbling through the windows, leaving shredded curtains and glass shards in their wake, that the man finally stopped his ruthless assault on the 16 year old. Slowly lifting both hands, only to fall from a bullet being fired right between his eyes.

From that day forward, Gatsby would never see his father the same way again. From that day forward, he could never eat the same foods again...

Something in him broke that day. Whether or not it was for the better, had still yet to be seen.

Short Biography

Raised by one Coen Gatsby, a high ranking military officer, and Emilia Gatsby, Richard was raised in a strict home with his younger sister Asha. A lovely family of four.

Coen was a man of principles who wanted his only son to follow in his footsteps, becoming a man of Military backing, who would serve his country. Much like himself, and his father before. However, Richard showed promise in far more technological matters, and, even against his own father's distaste, pursued those dreams. A complicated childhood, or rather not much of one, left him with only one friend, and that was his sister Asha.

At age 16 he acquired his college degree, after having at least 13 completely unique designs, created by he, and he alone, patented, and sold. In celebration of such a landmark, his family was supposed to have a celebratory dinner. That was, until a mad man broke into their home. Coen, who was away on more work business, was supposed to be the target of said attack, was the focal point of the psychopath's wrath.

After finding his way into the young Gatsby's room, however, the man had decided he'd exact his revenge in a much... different way. Taking advantage of the boy without hesitation. Using the barrel of his gun to muffle his screams, and shouts of defiance.

Once done, he lead the boy downstairs via gun point and held the entire family hostage, demanding to negotiate with Coen. Coen, refusing to "negotiate with terrorists", ended up losing both his daughter, and wife that day. The man having shot Asha, carving up her body, and forcing both Emilia and Richard to consume her flesh, raw no less, as to get the point across. In a final attempt to show he wasn't kidding, and he would wipe all Gatsby blood from the face of the earth, he also killed Emilia. Leaving Richard alone, to "deal" with the psychopath for another 45 minutes to an hour, before help finally arrived.

The man was killed on sight, and Gatsby was saved. Ever since that evening, however, there has been a taste in his mouth he couldn't get rid of. His food never quite tasted the same...

Needless to say, after the very recent death of his father, that he may very well have played a hand in, he has had complete control over his own accumulated wealth, and business deals.

Never has he been thriving any more than now. The Fritz Estate on Primrose Drive may have very well be the exact brand of escape he'd been searching for.
